We decided to just hang out at home for New Years Eve. We did the traditional...ordered pizza, had chips and dip to munch on, peanut butter cookies, and then when we told Zach and Ashlyn we were having a party and they could stay up late Zach said well what kind of cake are we making for our party? He told me that you can't have a party without cake. So...we made a confetti cake to celebrate. We did our new puzzles, little people and pokemon. We played a new Candy Land game about 10 times, watched some movies, then we counted down the last minute and anxiously awaited being able to go outside and scream happy new year while banging pots and pans! Uncle Tom and Deanna came over to visit and we all lasted until midnight...then it was bed time, we were all beat! Mady went to sleep at 8:30 and when the kids were banging pans at midnight it woke her. We had a great night and hope that everyone has a great 2009!

That's cool that you just stayed home. I was pooped from the moment we got to Steve and Kim's house. And we got there at like 6:15. Funny story about the pots and pans. Carter said he wanted to bang pots and pans so Kim told all the kids they could get some if they'd take them outside to make noise. Well, all the kids were banging pots and pans while Carter had grabbed two paper plates and was hitting them together. It was freakin' hilarious!!
Sounds like a fun time. I stayed home too. Though I didn't get a cake like you guys did! I bet your kids were thrilled to be allowed to stay up so late, haha.
You did more than us! We just stayed home and played sorry with the kids and they went to bed at 9:30. Me and Justin stayed up until about 11:48pm playing guitar hero world tour and then crashed out. We haven't stayed up since we lived in Vegas ha ha
I love that you went outside to bang pots and pans. Why don't people do that more? And is Wil's hair still as long as it is on your banner? I can't wait to show Justin, he'll love it.
