Another day at the beach

Mady stayed here pretty much the whole 3 hours...loves the food, I put Ashlyn's cover up over her since she was freezing. She was having a blast until you saw her gums were all swollen, she looks like she has 5 teeth just waiting to break through. OUCH!
Ashlyn picked out this swimsuit. She was having so much fun being buried, then washing off in the water...over and over again!
Zach was loving it at the beach...he spelled out the whole alphabet in order in the sand all by himself. He is so fun to watch. Here is a little example of it!
We can't wait until daddy is home again so we can go spend more time at the beach!

New Hair Cut

Zach has wanted his hair long and laying down for a long time now, then just the other day he decided that he wanted it short and spiked again...he totally looks like a different kid now. I don't know if its just because I see him everyday, but he really does look so much older all of a sudden. He was so good at the salon, he even waited while I got a hair cut. Everyone kept saying how old is your boy? Wow he does really good just sitting here and being quiet.

The Beach

Well we were so excited to finally get out to the beach and just relax...we were there all day. The kids were having so much fun. Mady's favorite part was eating, cheetos, sandwiches, and cookies, then she had a bottle and took a nice nap on the beach towel. Ashlyn's favorite part was dumping water out of her bucket into the sand and helping daddy build sandcastles. Zach's favorite part was playing godzilla and breaking daddy's sandcastles...and he loved getting in the water for a minute at a time. (it is still march so the water isn't quite refreshing yet) Wil was on sandcastle duty all day, he would build one, then the kids would destroy it, then he would build another. Mommy's job was sandwich duty and playing with our little Mady Monkey who was not a fan of the sand or the COLD water...We then went to Victoria Garden's to get Zach and Mady's birthday free pictures done. Then the kids were so good we had ben and jerry's ice cream, then stopped at Round Table for dinner...yes we ate dessert before dinner and it was good!































We can't wait for our next beach outing...

Rainforest Cafe

We went to lunch with Wil and a guy he works with and his family. We had a good time just visiting and getting to know each other. The kids didn't know what to think of the rainforest cafe. Mady did not like that the monkeys and elephants would make a lot of noise like every 15 minutes. She would freak out every time. Lunch was pretty yummy though. Zach wanted to take a picture by the giraffe.

St. George

We went to St. George this weekend to watch my nephews Trevor and Devin play in a big baseball tournament. We spent Thur. Fri. and Sat. at the ball park from about 8:30 am to 10:30 pm. We watched 4 games each day all 3 days. Trevor's team took 4th and Devin's team took 5th in their leagues. There were almost 40 teams in each division. They played pretty well for the most part. We got to spend a lot of time with cousins and playing at the park, watching the game, eating popsicles, nachos and snow cones at the games, and then Sat. night we got to enjoy some swimming. The kids had a blast. They were ready to be home though, since it took us 8 1/2 hours to get from St. George to Hesperia...yeah a long day in the car! Here is a slideshow of our trip. Enjoy!

My dad

If you know my dad, you know that he loves his family dearly, his second love after his family...you guessed it SPORTS. He is a sports finatic. He loves watching, coaching, and used to love playing sports. He spends mounds of his time watching his grandkids play and loves every minute of it. He also used to be our biggest fan when me and my brothers were in sports. Well this picture shows a glow on my dad's face that I don't think anyone else could have even seen coming.
To back up the story a bit...my brother Greg is the Asst. Director of golf at the Wynn in Las Vegas. He gets to meet a lot of people and Bobby Knight just happens to be staying at the Wynn for a few weeks filming something. He was talking to my brother Greg saying he wanted to golf last wen. and Greg offered to take him to another course since the Wynn was crowded. They went golfing Wen and Thur of this last week. Thur. when they were done golfing Greg called my dad on his cell phone (we were in St. George watching my nephew play baseball.) Then Greg told my dad something that mady my dad beam. He said dad, Bobby Knight wants to talk to you. My dad lit up. This is a picture of him on the phone with Bobby Knight. Anyways, to make a long story short he said that he wanted my dad to come over and golf with my brother and Bobby Knight on this coming Wen. My dad told all my brothers that was such an honor. He has been a fan of Bobby Knight for as long as I can remember. (If you don't know who he is...ask your brother, or your hubby, or dad) He then talked to my mom...so I had to get a picture of that as well.

The Dentist

For those of you who know Zach has had several really rough experiences at the dentist. He is doing so much better. He has no cavities, he loved going to the Johnson's dentist office. His primary teacher works there and he thought that was really cool. He was so calm, I was really surprised...
Ashlyn even let them look in her mouth and count her teeth. She thought that it was okay, as long as her blanket was close by...

Zach's party

Well since it was Zach's special birthday (he turned 5 on the 5th) we let him get a bounce house...we all had a lot of fun bouncing around. We had the bounce house for 24 hours and it was really reasonably priced too. It was fun! And only a Bradshaw and his baby could take a nap in a bounce house. We had some good friends come down from Fresno and it was great to catch up with them. Then we invited some friends from here. He decided he wanted a fire truck party, the cake was pretty easy to do. The pinata was a lot of fun as well. Apparently I got one that was made of concrete because it took forever to knock it down, then we brought out a big fat metal bat and thanks to Drew and his power hit, that thing came down with one hit! I love my kids, and one of my favorite things is the blank look of confusion on their face when they blow out the candles and they start to relite. Ha Ha I love trick candles. Zach and Drew were trying so hard to get them to go out! Ha Ha Zach loved his lego cars that he got, his batman suit, his bagbagon's (however you spell it), his hot wheels, and we LOVE the nerf gun (Thanks Justin) And just remember that Dean's birthday is just a few months away. Ha Ha. I think Wil was using the nerf gun more then Zach. It was a fun day with just a few friends.
