Crazy Halloween

Okay so you would think that Halloween you could get lots of good pictures, but it has been a crazy 24 hours. Ashlyn after dinner last night spiked a 103 temp, turned pale as a ghost (literally) and started vomiting in the night. I took her to the Dr. this morning because I thought that her finger was infected, well it is not infected, that's the good news...the bad news is that she ripped her tendon in her left hand ring finger and she is going to have to go to a hand surgeon to have it taken care of. Also, they found out she has strep throat. So...she was really sick and has been really whiny, so we let her just kind of hang out by the car while we were trunk or treating. Sorry, had the camera, but not one picture to show for it. Hope your halloween was better then ours.

Getting Ready

Well on Tuesdays and Thursdays Zach has preschool from 9:30 to 12:00 and we set our alarm to get up at 8:15 (yes we still set an alarm, so we like to sleep in a little) Ha Ha. I usually get Mady dressed and fed, then I go get ready. This is what I saw as I was getting ready and it was too cute not to take a picture. I only had my phone camera close by, but I loved it. They are all on my bed watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse together.

Family Night

We thought that we would do a family night outside since it is the end of October and still really hot outside. My mom had some daffodil's that she wanted planted before the first frost, and Zach got a thing of wild flower seeds from preschool his first day that he wanted to plant. Daddy got to mow the lawn while Zach and Ashlyn helped me rake, pick up the weeds, dig holes, and plant the seeds, then water the dirt. It was a messy good time. Our little flower Mady just hung out in the house while we were all getting dirty.

Hesperia Lakes & Chili's

We went over to Hesperia Lakes this afternoon with Uncle Tod, the kids love to go and feed the ducks. Then we went to Chili's for dinner with Uncle Tod and Uncle Tom. Zach and Ashlyn's favorite part of dinner was definitely the big chocolate volcano cake (chocolate molton). We are so happy that Uncle tod came to visit, we miss hanging out with him all the time.

Costumes

The kids have loved trying on their costumes over and over again...and Uncle Tod came to town this weekend and so they put their costumes on again to show him what they looked like. Here is the Genie from Aladdin, Princess Jasmine, and my little monkey abu.

Wicked

My friends Marilyn and Sarah came down to LA to see the play WICKED and I met up with them. It started out as a crazy night with Sarah, Marilyn, and Sarah's sisters getting lost and I waited at the restaurant talking to the valet guys for over an hour, then we had a great waitress that sat us, got us our food, and our checks within 25 minutes so that we could go to the play. We pulled up to the Pantages theatre just in time to see the lights flashing...we got our tickets from Will call and went inside. What a stressful start to the night. The play was great and it was a lot of fun to be with Sarah and Marilyn again. I got home at 1:20 this morning only to find zach and ashlyn laying in my bed still trying to watch Aladdin, Wil and Tod playing WOW on the computers, and Mady passed out. She did pretty good for Wil and finally after several hours took a bottle for the first time. Yea!!!!! So all and all it was a fun night. Here are a couple pictures that we took during the crazy rushed night. We ate dinner at the Saddle Ranch chop house, it would have been fun to ride the bull, but there wasn't anytime at all...Sarah with her two sisters Becky, and Jenny...At the play it is Sarah, Lainie, Marilyn, and myself (the picture that got Becky and Marilyn in trouble) Ha Ha

Cookie Time

The kids love helping grandma make cookies!!!! Ashlyn was doing great putting them on the pan, until we turned our backs for a second and then turned back around to see that she had shoved both hands into the dough and just started shoveling it in her mouth until she just didn't even know what to do. Ha Ha She truly is my cookie monster. Why would you go to bed at 9:00 p.m. when you could be making cookies with grandma???

Mady Monkey

Well my mom said, where are the pictures of mady in her costume???? So here they are. she spent the whole party asleep on my lap, so we had to take pictures of her later in her costume. She is my cute little monkey abu. She is definitely all mama's girl...she is 8 months old tomorrow and she just said her first word last week...ma ma

Elle & Dean's Party

Well I took the kids to their friends for a halloween party, and they had a lot of fun. Zach loved dressing up in his Genie costume, Ashlyn had to be bribed with chocolate to even get in her jasmine costume, and mady just slept through most of the party in her abu costume. My camera batteries died right after I pulled it out to start taking pictures. Oops...Here are Zach and Ashlyn enjoying the food and Ashlyn playing in the rocks...

Pumpkin Time

Zach gets so excited for halloween and one of his favorite things to do is carve pumpkins. We took the kids on Friday to the pumpkin patch and let them pick out their own pumpkins to carve. Then we let them play in the bounce house. We waited until today to carve the pumpkins. We had a lot of fun getting all ready for halloween and just in time. The kids costumes were all finished last night and their first halloween party is in the morning.
