Disneyland

The kids were so excited to be at disneyland, it was hard to get them to even stop for a photo!

The fairy Godmother was so funny with Ashlyn she said how old are you princess and Ashlyn goes I'm four...the fairy Godmother said really? I told her she was two, then she sang her Bippity Boppety Boop song to Ashlyn and Ashlyn started singing with her. It was cute. Then she had Ashlyn touch her nose, and everytime she touched her nose the fairy godmother would stick out her tongue...she told Ashlyn she was magic.
The girls loved the Winnie the Pooh ride. Zach said we had to take a picture here because we have taken a picture there every time we go to Disneyland.
The Bears...I can't tell you their names though! Mady wasn't so sure about them.

Ashlyn told Jasmine that she was Jasmine for halloween so Jasmine said and was your brother Aladdin? Zach said no, I was the genie. I even had a lamp. Ha Ha They told them that Mady was Abu. It was neat to see Aladdin and Jasmine together when we got off the Jungle Cruise.

We went to Disneyland yesterday to celebrate Wil's birthday. The kids loved the fact that they gave them special buttons to wear that said we are Celebrating. We were really excited to go this year because Zach is finally tall enough to go on all the rides. He would go up to the sign to check his height everytime he went on a ride. He LOVED the rollercoasters. He went on Space Mountain 4 times, Splash Mountain 2 times, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad 2 times, Matterhorn, Gadget's Go Coaster, and every other ride you can think of. Space Mountain was definitely his favorite, the last time we were coming off the ride a lady said wow he looks really small to be going on this ride and he looked at her and said I'm not small, this is my 4th time today...ha ha ha Zach definitely had fun yesterday~ Ashlyn didn't give us any problems, but she didn't like any ride that got dark. We had her go on the Matterhorn and she was not a fan...she also didn't care for Nemo...she thought that the water was going to come in the submarine and she kept checking the windows to make sure she was good. Ashlyn's favorite rides were the Go Gadget's coaster in toon town, Dumbo, and Winnie the Pooh. Madyson was so much fun to watch...she was just having fun being there and seeing the characters as long as they didn't get too close. She loved the Winnie the Pooh ride and she also loved Roger Rabbit because she was able to sit next to me...not on anyone's lap. She loved it!!! Ashlyn had her hair done all cute until we got to Disneyland, then it was a mess. When I attempted to fix her hair, the rubberband snapped. So she got a new minnie mouse hair clip as a souveneir since we couldn't just let her have crazy hair all day! We got to the park before it opened and left after it closed. 11 hours was a long and fun day. It was the best trip to Disneyland so far as a family. I am posting a lot of pictures because it was such a fun day!!!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Well tomorrow is Wil's birthday, but we are planning on going to Disneyland if the kids are feeling better. So we made his cake today and sang to him. We don't usually put the cake on the couch and light the candle, but Mady really doesn't feel good and has been having a hard time going to sleep, and Wil had just gotten her to sleep, so you do what you have to do to not wake the sleeping baby...right! We are used to having big Birthday celebrations with family, but this year was really quiet, just the 5 of us. It was nice though! Wil has always chosen Rainbow Chip cakes since I have known him...It is definitely a Bradshaw thing, all of his brothers are the same way. It's funny!

Go Steeler's

We are getting excited for the SUPER BOWL...Wil has been a Steeler's fan since he was little. So, for the last 11 years I have too. Zach loves them because his daddy does. We got Zach and Ashlyn jerseys and they only had a bib Mady's size. I have hair bows that my friend Amy made also. We are so excited and hope the Steeler's win the Super Bowl for the 2nd time in the last 4 years. If they win they will have the record for the most times winning the superbowl too. Zach wore his Steeler's hat to preschool last week for show and tell, and his jersey today. He was so excited to share them with all of his friends.

Update

My Papa is still at Stanford being monitored for the next couple of days. He is very unhappy there and tried to rip the I V out and get out of bed. He also doesn't like that my dad and his sister can only come back for 10 minutes at a time every couple of hours. When he got there yesterday they determined that because he is getting older and his brain is shrinking, the blood vessel that is connected from his brain to his skull ripped. At least one of them did, so they checked it this morning again and decided that the just want to monitor him. That is all we know, so we are just hanging out waiting to hear more. Thanks for the thoughts!

Papa Blackwell

Well we got a phone call this morning from my Aunt Vicki saying that my dad's dad is at Corcoran hospital and that he is bleeding from the brain. They are transfering him by helicopter to Stanford Medical Center. We don't believe that he is strong enough to under go surgery at this point. He has had several problems the last few years. Here are a few pictures that I have of my Papa. I don't have any of my pictures of my kids with Papa, they are all in storage. Here are two pictures of my dad, his sister Vicki, and my Mema who passed away when I was 8, and my Papa. And here is one of my Papa with my three brothers and my dad.

Good Job Lexi

I am going to brag for a minute. Wil and I went with my parents and the kids back to vegas this last weekend for my niece Lexi's gymnastics competition. We had to have the kids up and ready to leave Greg's house by 6:45 in the morning, but it was well worth it. She did really good. There were 103 girls competing and teams from more than 25 states. Lexi took 6th place in the vault and beam, 2nd place in the uneven bars with a 9.10, and got an 8.550 on the floor routine even though she didn't place in it. She took 6th overall out of the 103 girls. Her gym took 4th overall out of all the teams. Way to go Olympus Gymnastics! We were so impressed with her. She has been doing gymnastics for like 7 years. Zach told her that she did so good she should get a trophy...I tried telling him that the gymnasts get medals...he said thats dumb. Ha Ha Ha They charged a lot of money for everyone to get in in hopes that people would leave their kids at home...well that backfired. My kids have a nice daddy that bought them nachos and a large sprite to help pass the time and they were sitting on folding chairs that Ashlyn leaned on while eating a big tray of nachos and nachos and sprite went flying everywhere...ha ha ha ha ha I was laughing so hard. It took us like 45 minutes to clean it up! Mady stayed awake for the whole 3 1/2 hour meet, then fell asleep during awards.
It was my nephew Spencer's birthday the 16th as well, so I made him a cake last minute. He is really into basketball. He wanted Chocolate cake with Chocolate frosting, so this is what I came up with. Happy 6th Birthday Spencer we love you!
We took the kids to Excalibur and let them run around and play the arcade games. Ashlyn won a little backpack and Zach won a bear. We went to the one where you pay $2 for one basketball and one chance to make a basket and win a prize. Spencer is really good at basketball. the lady looked at us and laughed and said good luck and it went in nothing but net...ha ha it was so funny!
We left in the afternoon on Saturday and we stopped at Peggy Sue's diner in Yermo, CA. The food was just so so, but my kids loved going out back to the diner saur park. We took some pictures so I would have something to show from the weekend. I put Mady on the little tortoise and she freaked out, shaking, screaming, digging into my skin. Wil and I thought it was pretty funny though! Ha Ha
Those are some of the highlights of our weekend. We had a lot of fun. My camera is still freaking out so here are a few pictures that my mom took. Sorry the camera is fuzzy, no flash allowed and so the camera wouldn't work well.

Date Night

Wil is going to be working in Minnesota starting next monday so we decided to go out last night without the kids. Thanks mom and dad for watching them...we went and saw Yes Man and then went to dinner at Chili's.
