Happy Easter!

There were too many kids to stop and do nice pictures with the Easter Bunny, but Ashlyn loved seeing her, she even gave her a big hug. And thanks Easter Bunny for the nice whistles we heard all day long...

Daddy and Zach and Ashlyn with their new whistles
This house is made mostly of bottles.
The Mine
A dummy digging in the mine.
This just goes to show that we walked a lot that day, we walked up to look out point and we could see the train.
No, my picture taking skills aren't that bad...this is the slanted house! It makes me dizzy
Ashlyn on the train
Zach on the train
Zach wanted a picture of this, the little cart that the miners used to put their gold and push it out of the mine
The way they used to do hair cuts in the olden days in Calico
Some of the things they used to use to cook with in the olden days at Calico
My 3 jailbirds
Panning for gold
Happy even though we just got a couple tiny nuggets.
Mady was the most worn out and she was carried around all day...how does that work?
Dr. Cockroach toy from McD's
Gigantica toy from McD's
Mady didn't like dying easter eggs.
Zach made sure he did one of every color.
Ashlyn just kept saying yea can we eat them now???
This is what happens when the baby dumps a whole thing of yellow dye on her leg...
Thanks Easter Bunny
Mady loved her princess ball.
Zach and Ashlyn were so excited for an easter egg hunt!
Daddy and Mady hunting eggs
Zach and Ashlyn were shaking the eggs going sounds like M&M's my favorite!
Daddy and Mady found a lot of eggs and went back inside it was still cold out!
Zach loved the plastic eggs.
Zach and Ashlyn said they must have a hundred eggs in their baskets.
Mady hit the jackpot

We started our Easter adventure yesterday at Calico Ghost Town. They have a lot of activities for the kids including an egg toss and an easter egg hunt. (we chose to do things the kids can't do at Grandma's house!) The kids loved it. I recommend doing it one year for Easter. We started the day walking around some of the old shops and the bottle house, then we went through a mine. Ashlyn wasn't so sure about it. Neither was Mady. Zach thought it was great. Then we went to the mystery shack...I solved the mystery, it makes you dizzy. It is an uneven house that you are little trying your hardest to even stand up to walk through it while watching three kids try and get through it. Zach loved trying to walk up and down hill and Ashlyn loved climbing the uneven ladder. It was fun. Then we went and rode the train. That was a lot of fun! Then we did old fashion pictures of the kids that turned out so cute. Then we went to pan for gold. Ashlyn wasn't the biggest fan of having wet cold hands, but it was fun. Then we left and went to McDonald's for lunch. We came home and decorated Easter Eggs while dad took a nap. Zach and Ashlyn loved it, Mady freaked out, dumped the whole yellow dye cup on her leg. Now her leg is yellow. That is why my kids don't wear nice clothes to decorate eggs. Then we got the kids ready for bed, then Wil and I went out shopping and to dinner. It was so fun to get out! Then this morning the Easter bunny came and went and the kids were so excited to see their baskets. They had a lot of fun doing an easter egg hunt in backyard too! Thanks to Cascia we had these fun eggs that are plastic and they talk to the kids while you are trying to find the eggs. They were pretty funny! Mady made out like a bandit and had lots of M&M's for breakfast...and a banana ( half healthy half yummy). Ashlyn is the only 2 year old I know that would rather eat the hard boiled eggs for breakfast then the m&m's in her basket. Zach was so excited. He loved everything about it!

That looks like so much fun. I haven't ever been to Calico. Mady looks like a thug on the counter haha that picture is so funny! Was that when she spilled the dye on her leg? Easter is so much fun with little kids.

You guys are awesome! It's nice to see parents that enjoy taking there kids to new places.
I love that the Easter Bunny gave the kids whistles. He was probaly laughing all day because he's not the one who has to ride home with whistleing kids in the car. hahahah

That's cool that you guys had such an eventful Easter! Then again what do you guys ever do that uneventful? NOTHING! You are non stop. You make me feel like super lazy mom! ha ha J/K I've never been to Calico but that was a lot of cool stuff. Plenty of good picture taking spots. Mom told me about those talking eggs...that's funny. Kolton had a good time going on an Easter egg hunt because Trevor helped him.
