Yummy Snow!!!

Well here are some pictures of the snow as the evening went on...we got about 18 inches up at my parents house. The other side of town got 2 feet of snow. It was a crazy couple of days being home bound. The kids loved the snow, Zach looks outside about twice every hour just to make sure that it is all still there and...it is! Yesterday morning my mom and I went outside to try and shovel the snow off the driveway with regular shovels...it didn't work too well. HA HA I finally decided to plow over it in my big EXPI to get more milk and bread at the store. It has cleared on the roads, but the yard and driveway still look really bad. Zach came tracking snow all over the house yesterday after we played in the snow again and guess who loved it. Yup Mady, she followed Zach around and was trying to eat the snow while my mom and I were trying to hurry and pick it up. She succeeded. And thought the snow was rather tasty. HA HA HA

Let it snow!!!!

Zach loves the snow. We went to Utah last January and we just so happened to drive up to N. Ogden on a day they got 6 ft of snow. Zach, Ashlyn, and Wil went out and made a huge snowman at Wil's sisters house. Zach has talked about it ever since and tells us all the time when it snows here we can build another snowman. We always just say ya, ya ok. Well Zach woke up this morning and said oh mom it's just like I dreamed it would be. Ha Ha He was so excited to get all bundled up and go out there. Luckily I went out monday night and bought beanies and gloves for the kids. Everyone was all in pj's, then shirt and jeans, then warm up pants and two jackets, gloves, 2 pair of socks, and a beanie. Mady was in a big winter coat too. I took mady and laid her in the snow. I mean we live in Hesperia...it isn't like she is going to see snow very often. She was not impressed at all! She lasted outside like 10 seconds, then she played inside while Zach, Ashlyn and I made two snowmen. Ha Ha We had to make a second one because Zach said I cheated and made the first one too small. Oops that was just the mommy that doesn't like the snow and wanted to go back inside. Ha Ha Zach would just squat, he didn't want to sit or kneel in the snow he kept saying it is so cold and it is going down my back. Ha Ha Ashlyn threw herself in the snow and tried to make a snow angel. It was pretty funny. They were outside for a long time, then the kids got all their wet clothes off in the entry way...you can tell how much clothing they all had on. Then it was straight to the bath. Afterwards we had pancakes for breakfast at 11:15am then they laid down and watched polar express while Mady took a nap. Now that's my idea of a snow day. Oh Christmas Tree!!!

We went to Home Depot and got our BIG Christmas Tree today. When Wil was tying the tree to the top of our car I took his picture and he asked me if I was taking his picture so I could show where the tree was before it fell off the car...I said I was just taking a picture so I would be able to show who tied it bad when it did fall off the car. Then we went to lunch at the One Hawaiian BBQ...it was pretty yummy! Ashlyn even loved the lemons! After lunch we started driving home and all of a sudden the tree started to fall of the top of the car. Ha Ha it was pretty funny watching my dad try and hold the tree up while Wil was trying to get off of Bear Valley Rd. Ha Ha We decided to stick with tradition and order some pizza to eat while we decorated the tree. The kids had so much fun putting up all the ornaments. Mady loved trying to eat the pine needles too. My kids are so excited for Santa to come. Only 12 more days until Christmas!

Going Home

We had to stop at Dr. Lattin's office on our way out of town for Zachy man. He was up all night Thur. night screaming that his throat hurt. He is okay, just a cold. Already doing a lot better! The kids loved seeing their old Dr. again. (he used to be in our ward in Fresno) He asked Ashlyn if she wanted to go stay with them and she said YES! The kids were really good for the ride home. We watched Elmo's Christmas countdown and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. (They were Christmas presents that we got from some friends in Fresno) We had a lot of fun on our trip. Hung out with a lot of old friends and played hard. We were all very excited to come back to Hesperia though and get back to our beds. Thanks so much to the Perkins and the Pedersen's for letting us crash at their house. We had a blast!

Happy Birthday Uncle Jon!!!

We just happened to be here for Uncle Jon's birthday so we thought we would make him a guitar cake. We ended up going over to Wil's parents for cake and ice cream. We love you Uncle Jon and hope you had a great birthday!!!

Old Friends

We are in Fresno this week and we are staying with some friends so we can help friends move and another friend to stay on bed rest and let others help. The kids are just having a blast. We are missing another friends kids, but they are home with the chicken pox and while we love to visit with them to, we don't love the chicken pox. Here are some pictures of the kids.
