Celebrating 125 years in Cajon

Wil has worked for the BNSF railroad for 5 years now and we all LOVE that he works for the railroad.  The best job that we could have asked for since we have been married.  Wil works very hard for our family and we appreciate him so much.  The railroad did a little celebration to show people what the railroad is all about...Here are some pictures of my kiddos with their daddy that in their imagination (drives the trains, fixes the trains, works on the train tracks, fixes the signals and gates, drives the high rail truck up on the tracks...you name it they think their daddy does it!)  But between you and me Wil works for the signal department and he puts in new and updates old signals, switches, and gates.  I won't tell my kids that though.  In their eyes DADDY is the only reason the trains are still running;)

This was by far their favorite part.......being able to see up close what daddy gets to do everyday.  they loved pushing the buttons and watching the gate go up and down and watching the signal light change from red to green....

This is the kind of high rail that Uncle Anthony drove last when he worked for the railroad.  Zach thought it was so cool and said I wish our big red car had wheels like that so that we could go on the train tracks too!

And what train celebration would be complete without a kid sized train ride.  They loved it! 

Morning Time

Anyone who knows this MAMA knows that 6:00a.m. is NOT my idea of a good time to be up!  This year was a really hard struggle moving across town where Zach starts school so early.  I get up at 6 and go in Zach's room and we get to sit and talk until about 6:40...It takes him a while to WANT to get up, but I wouldn't trade our little talks for anything.  LOVE THAT BOY!  He tells me all about how excited he is to get a baby brother soon, how he loves school, how he can't wait for daddy to come home from work so they can play...anything that is on his mind.

Me and the girls take Zach to school and come back and we have about an hour and a half before Ashlyn has to be at preschool.  My girls are not always excited to get dragged out of bed in the morning either...but by the time we come back from taking Zach to school we have plenty of time to play games, read books, sing songs and try on all of their clothes so that they can find the PERFECT outfit for the day.  My little GIRLIE GIRLS sure make mornings interesting.  They always have me laughing.
MOSTLY...I am so GRATEFUL for an awesome man that works so HARD so that I get to stay home and have these moments with my kiddos;)  As Mady would say    DADDY YOUR THE BEST!
So no matter how much I don't like being up super early in the morning...I wouldn't trade my alone time with my kiddos for ANYTHING!  Love them all to pieces;)

Ward Halloween Party

The best part about Halloween to my kids is that there are parties at school, at church, then they also get to go out and trick or treat in the neighborhood.  Which means pretty much a WEEK of living in your costume!!  Mady was the first one to decide what she wanted to be this year.  She said I want to be a tiger, not a cute tiger...a MEAN tiger.  Well she was the cutest mean tiger I saw at the party;)   Ashlyn wanted to be a hot pink and black leopard kitty cat.  Well who wouldn't want to??? Look how stinkin cute her hair is all crimped!!! She loved getting her hair done.  Then there is Zach.  The man that puts so much thought into his ideas every year.  This year he was a vampire...but if you asked him, he was a vampire bat!  He wasn't too happy that his white dress shirt didn't have black buttons, but you know I am doing the best I can right now so the white buttons just had to do!  The kids had such a fun time at the church party.  Mady was also SO EXCITED that aunt Deanna came and brought baby Ezra who we all love to hold!  Wil ended up getting stuck in traffic in LA and didn't make it until the last 20 minutes of the party.

The Park and the Pumpkin Patch

Last Saturday we took the kids to the park to play, then over to the pumpkin patch to get our pumpkins.  My kids LOVE going to the pumpkin patch and look forward to it every year.   Ashlyn and Mady picked the little pumpkins that are in the wagon with them.  Zach however always looks for the biggest/coolest pumpkin he can find.;)

Happy Haunted Halloween

Every year the kids get SO excited for halloween.  They start planning months in advance what they are going to be and everything.  It is so much fun to see them so excited.  This year we bought a haunted gingerbread house at target to put together for family night.  Zach is my I'm serious...don't bug me while I'm creating my wall.  Ashlyn and Mady are more like the more sprinkles and candy corns I can put on this thing the better.;)

Baby Ezra

Wil's little brother Tom and his wife Deanna had a sweet little baby boy on 10/1 and my kids have been so excited to see their new cousin.  Tom is working close to where we live, so they drove over today to let us see their sweet little boy.  He is definitely a little bradshaw boy.  We all LOVE him!  He is very cute and tiny and makes lots of fun little facial expressions.  Here are some pictures of the girls just helping Aunt Deanna feed him and of Uncle Tom holding his little boy.  So glad that they came over to let us hold and love on their sweet baby boy!   Uncle Tom and Aunt Deanna were very sweet to let Ashlyn and Mady crowd all over that cute little boy...they even helped Uncle Tommy carry baby Ezra in his car seat out to the car!

Whitney's Baptism

Well usually we load up the car and all head up to UT for a family baptism or wedding...this time with Wil's work schedule being so crazy and Zach and Ashlyn in school I just jumped on a plane for the weekend.  I  flew into SLC on thursday and got to go spend the night with Wil's sister up in Ogden.  We had a good time just visiting.  Then Friday I got to go with my sisters and parents to my cousins wedding.  It was fun to see lots of my cousins.  Saturday I got to watch my nephew's football game, then go to Whitney's Baptism.  It is kind of crazy because she is only a year and a half older then Zach which means we are getting close to that stage in life.  I love Miss Whitney...she is such a fun girl that is just so sweet!  Here are some pictures from her special day.  So glad that I got to go be a part of her special day.
