We went to the Dr today to find out if we are having another girl or another
boy...... Zach has Been praying all along that he would get a little brother..... He got his prayers answered today and we couldn't be more excited!;). Two boys, and two girls... Game over!

Dancin Dayz Competition

Ashlyn has been taking tap and ballet for the last year and loved every minute of it!  She had three recitals through out the year.  I didn't get any pictures really because I was back stage mom with her class.  Then in July we got to go down by Palm Springs for her first dance competition....She was in heaven!  All those fun dances and you get a TROPHY!!!!!  This little girl rocked it on stage!!!!!   I couldn't have asked for her to do any better.  I love how she can be the sweetest shy little girl, then get out on a stage in front of probably 1000 people and just go for it without a care in the world.  Their dance was called you may think that I'm too small...really I am NOT at all!  Ashlyn was even able to catch a nap in the middle.  Her dance was #3 and there were 160 dances before the first set of awards were given out.  Love Love Love my sweet Ashlyn!!!! We are so proud of her.  Now this year she has chosen Tumbling/Cheerleading (for those of you that know me...this is not really my cup of tea) She loves it already!

First Day of School

So I haven't been updating lately due to the fact that this PREGNANCY has been rough and we MOVED into a new house.  So I'm not really going to play catch up right now, I am just going to start from here!  Zach and Ashlyn both went back to school last week.  Here are pictures of them all dressed for the first day of 1st grade and preschool.

We are so proud of our sweet ashlyn girl!

Ashlyn started preschool last August...and it was a little trying in the beginning getting her to go. Buy as the year progressed she grew to love it more and more. Probably because she had four great teachers!!! Here is a picture of her the first day of school, and now the last day of school (which happened to be their water party) Ashlyn still has another year of preschool before she starts kindergarten...but when they tested her the other day they said they were so proud of her and that she knew all of her alphabet by recognition and her numbers and that it surprised them because she is usually so quiet.

I don't know if I am more excited or if Zach is more excited that school is out for the summer. It has been a VERY long year. Zach has improved so much in his writing and reading and we are very proud of him. He also has a very artistic mind. He loves to draw and make things which we love watching him develop...I can't believe that we now have a 1st grader on our hands...Here is a picture of Zach at the Honor Roll assembly last night and pictures from the last day of school.

We Are in Trouble Now

Ashlyn was TEACHING Mady how to climb in and out of her crib yesterday...YIKES that's all I need! It was pretty funny though watching Ashlyn climb in then say go Mady your turn...Mady's little leg barely even swings up over the side.

Ashlyn's Single Ladies Party

Ashlyn is a fun loving girl that beats to her own drum...she doesn't do a party because that's what all of her friends did...She picks what she wants to do months in advance and plans that whole time what she wants it to be like. This year she decided she wanted a chipette's birthday party and that she wanted the invitations to say "All the Single Ladies" like they sing on the movie. It was pretty difficult to plan since NO ONE carries anything that is alvin and the chipmunks or the chipettes. I had to rely on friends who had one or two of the chipette figurines that mcdonald's sold in happy meals a while back! We started by just using the colors that the girls wear in the movie, bright pink, bright purple, and bright green. It turned out really cute. She wanted to play Pin the bow on Brittney, so her VERY talented Uncle Jon drew this really cute picture on poster board and Ashlyn LOVED it! Then we got a pinata in the same colors...

We had hot dogs for lunch because Ashlyn loves hotdogs...then we had a kareoke party. Ashlyn loves the older girls at church and always wants to sit with them and hang out with them...so what better way to have a kareoke party then to have those cute girls dress up like the chipettes and start by singing all the single ladies...I wish I would have gotten a picture of the little girls faces as they just sat there in awe of the older girls watching them...so cute! Ashlyn loved all of her gifts....her favorites were the SOCKS (she LOVES socks) and her new polka dotted swim suit!!!! (I don't know what she loves more, socks or polka dots...) And this is why we love this cute girl!!!!
