My favorite place to be...the ER

So yesterday my mom and I had planned to go to a movie when she got home from work and we had a babysitter all lined up...thanks Lizzie. Well I went to lunch for mommy & me with a bunch of other girls from the ward. While I was sitting there I started to not feel so good. I started getting a sharp pain in my stomach. I blew it off and went about my afternoon. I took the kids to Target to get snack food for our road trip we were supposed to go on today...(yeah it didn't happen today) So then we got home and luckily Mady went to sleep in the car and slept until right before my mom got off work. Zach and Ashlyn were really good just playing. I just sat in my room pretty much doubled over hoping that the pain would subside, but no luck. So when my mom got home we went to the Urgent Care instead of dinner and a movie. We were there an hour, then when they got a urine sample and examined me they put me in a wheel chair and sent us to the ER. We were there forever. We got back in a room around 7:30 or 8, then we didn't get home until almost 5 this morning. They did another urine sample, drew lots of blood, did an ultrasound, a cat scan, and then finally a pelvic exam. It turns out that I have an infection inside my filopian tubes. Yeah...so that's what was causing the sharp intense pain all day. Who knows what that all means, but they had me so drugged up at the hospital, they also gave me an antibiotic in my IV, I won't have the exact results for 5 days, but I was sent home with two different pain meds and I have been staying doped up all day so that I can get some much needed rest. my mom has been great dealing with the kids and Jillian came and got Zach for Preschool. Thanks to everyone who helped out. And to Jamie, I owe you big time for sleeping at my house last night with my kids. You were so sweet to stay with them. I will be totally fine, just in a lot of pain!

We started our Easter adventure yesterday at Calico Ghost Town. They have a lot of activities for the kids including an egg toss and an easter egg hunt. (we chose to do things the kids can't do at Grandma's house!) The kids loved it. I recommend doing it one year for Easter. We started the day walking around some of the old shops and the bottle house, then we went through a mine. Ashlyn wasn't so sure about it. Neither was Mady. Zach thought it was great. Then we went to the mystery shack...I solved the mystery, it makes you dizzy. It is an uneven house that you are little trying your hardest to even stand up to walk through it while watching three kids try and get through it. Zach loved trying to walk up and down hill and Ashlyn loved climbing the uneven ladder. It was fun. Then we went and rode the train. That was a lot of fun! Then we did old fashion pictures of the kids that turned out so cute. Then we went to pan for gold. Ashlyn wasn't the biggest fan of having wet cold hands, but it was fun. Then we left and went to McDonald's for lunch. We came home and decorated Easter Eggs while dad took a nap. Zach and Ashlyn loved it, Mady freaked out, dumped the whole yellow dye cup on her leg. Now her leg is yellow. That is why my kids don't wear nice clothes to decorate eggs. Then we got the kids ready for bed, then Wil and I went out shopping and to dinner. It was so fun to get out! Then this morning the Easter bunny came and went and the kids were so excited to see their baskets. They had a lot of fun doing an easter egg hunt in backyard too! Thanks to Cascia we had these fun eggs that are plastic and they talk to the kids while you are trying to find the eggs. They were pretty funny! Mady made out like a bandit and had lots of M&M's for breakfast...and a banana ( half healthy half yummy). Ashlyn is the only 2 year old I know that would rather eat the hard boiled eggs for breakfast then the m&m's in her basket. Zach was so excited. He loved everything about it!

My kids love to go to my friend Shelley's house. She doesn't have any kids yet, but she treats my kids so good! They get to play with all of her toys that she has kept over the years, she buys them birthday presents, goes to lunch with us once a month on her day off. She is so good to even let them play her very expensive drum set...They loved it! They even shared the stool so they could both play at the same time, then had to jump down to be able to step on the little foot steps and bang the big drum on bottom. It was so funn. Mady was the only one that wasn't so sure about the loud noises.

Victoria Gardens

I went with a friend down to Victoria Gardens today to introduce her to the Picture People, go to Olive Garden, and then let the kids ride the train. We had a great day! We went to Olive Garden by Ontario Mills first and everyone looked at us like we were crazy, for those that don't know we both have 3 kids so 6 kids with 2 moms gets lots of fun comments...my 3 favorite comments of the day
1) Wow, looks like a freakin day care...
2) Do you want to start on an appetizer, or do you want to wait for the other adults to show up...
3) Wow, your brave...
Idiots, just because we wanted a decent meal and were tired of eating McD's...the food was good though!
The kids did really good all day, so we let them ride on the train. Zach and Elle sat together, and Ashlyn and Dean. Mady and Drew got to hang out with us while the big kids rode the train.

Mady's a big girl

She refuses to sit still in a shopping cart, a high chair, the stroller...anywhere that you think you have her strapped down, guess again. She can wiggle her way out. So she has discovered that Zach and Ashlyn sit in the back of the shopping cart with all the fun stuff, especially at Target (popcorns house) she discovered that she could eat almost a whole bag of popcorn today. I had to take a picture of her. She thinks she is so big now.

We are the Yankees

Zach just found out today that he is going to be on the Yankee's team for baseball. He is so stoked and has been practicing a lot with grandpa in the backyard. He is getting really good at throwing the ball and is getting a lot better at stopping grounders. It is so fun to watch him develop.
