She did the WHOLE dance and I was so proud of her because she usually gets really nervous.

A local Catholic Church was having a huge carnival this weekend and they asked Ashlyn's dance studio to come and dance at the carnival. It was 56 degrees outside, and about 50 mph winds going on...it was frigid! I was AMAZED at how well Ashlyn did at her dance. She has only been dancing for 5 weeks now, which means 5 hours of dance time! She didn't even stop dancing when her bracelet flew off her arm and blew away, which is exactly what a good little dancer does...you just keep on dancing! They danced to Twinkle Twinkle Little Star... Daddy showed up just in time with a dozen pink roses...(someone gave him a little tip that flowers would be a good idea, we won't say who)

My friends little girl is turning 1 and I helped her make the birthday cake...It was a princess theme. My girls LOVED that they were able to dress up as their favorite princess for the party. Zach thought it was cool that he was crowned a prince at the party too!

We let Zach ditch school on Friday to go to Sea World with his cousins. They were here vacationing from Utah. We had a lot of fun and Lauren, Linden, Allison, and Adrienne were really good about taking my kids on the little kid rides and also letting Zach tag along on the big kid rides with them.

We decided to go to Fresno for a quick trip last weekend. My friend Sarah was having a girls night out for her birthday, so I decided to surprise her...it was worth it! Saturday we got to go swimming at Wil's parents all day. Saturday night Tom and Deanna fixed us a yummy dinner, then we just hung out and watched movies with them. Zach was so excited that he was able to go to Cloudy with a chance of meatballs with his friend Drew, then he got to spend the night there. We drove home Sunday morning, and decided to stop in tehachapi and take the kids to a little farm with a pumpkin patch and a potato sack maze. It was fun, but it was 105 degrees outside, so we didn't last long!

Ashlyn's Dance Class

She has been in dance a month and a half and LOVES it. She prefers tap over ballet, but she is doing good at both. She has her first recital on Sunday and so tonight was dress rehearsal. The mom's all got to line up and get a picture.

Hesperia Days

Well we didn't get up in time to go to the parade this morning, but I wanted to get the kids out of the house for a bit, so we went over to the park where they had hesperia days games, bounce houses and treats. The kids had a lot of fun, I let ashlyn and mady bounce in the DDDDora Bounce House, then Zach and Ashlyn did the big bounce slide 4 times each. They had slushee's and enjoyed listening to the little band that played. They wanted to ride the pony's but I think its a joke that they wanted to charge $7 a kid to sit on a pony that only walks in circles....lame. So we skipped that!

Good Friends

We went out to dinner with a friend of ours and his little girl that is Ashlyn's age. We went to Chili's, then to Coldstone for ice cream. The kids had a lot of fun being silly while eating their ice cream.
