Ashlyn's Toy Story Recital

Once again Ashlyn rocked it at her recital.  That girl can be so shy, then get out on that stage and do the whole dance with all the personality in the world...I LOVE IT!  She is in a tumbling/cheerleading class and they were the jessie and woody dolls for this performance.  They danced to Will Smith's the Wild Wild West.  Here is the only picture that I got of her, being a backstage mom is good, because I am with Ashlyn the whole time, but I don't get to get any pictures of her while she is on stage dancing.  Wil video taped it for my parents though.  It was a really cute show and we are so proud of Ashlyn.

Graham Cracker Houses

I helped the YW make their graham cracker houses at mutual, and there were a few left over so all of my kids got one.  Wil and I needed a day out to get some Christmas shopping done...So we let the babysitter help the kids decorate them.  Here are a few of the pictures that she snapped.  This is by far one of Zach's favorite holiday things to do.

Christmas Pictures

This year being BIG and PREGNANT I didn't want a family picture for our christmas cards....But it was fun to dress the kids up in their new christmas church outfits and take their picture!  Here are some of our favorite

McDonald's or a Zoo??

Zach's school was doing a come eat at McDonald's night...and giving part of the money to the school's PTC.  Well of course my kids saw a McDonalds flyer come home and couldn't stop talking about it.  We waited for Wil to get home and we all went over there....IT WAS CRAZY!!!!!  Tons of children running around the whole place with no parents around controlling their children.  It was definitely Wil's biggest nightmare.  Our kids just kept saying why are they running around in here? There isn't even a play place...That's exactly what we were thinking too!  Seriously it was like watching a bunch of caged animals that had all just been let out of their cage to roam free...I didn't see any of these children sit down and eat anything in the hour we were there...I am sure McDonald's won't jump at the opportunity to help this school again, you could tell the whole staff was annoyed!

Our kids ate, then sat there just staring at all the animals.  So Wil was so happy it wasn't our children roaming free and went and bought them all a dipped cone.  (Not that my kids would have run around in there...they know I would have BEATEN THEM!!!!)

Celebrating 125 years in Cajon

Wil has worked for the BNSF railroad for 5 years now and we all LOVE that he works for the railroad.  The best job that we could have asked for since we have been married.  Wil works very hard for our family and we appreciate him so much.  The railroad did a little celebration to show people what the railroad is all about...Here are some pictures of my kiddos with their daddy that in their imagination (drives the trains, fixes the trains, works on the train tracks, fixes the signals and gates, drives the high rail truck up on the tracks...you name it they think their daddy does it!)  But between you and me Wil works for the signal department and he puts in new and updates old signals, switches, and gates.  I won't tell my kids that though.  In their eyes DADDY is the only reason the trains are still running;)

Zach, Ashlyn, and Mady with DADDY in front of a High Rail truck like the one their uncle Anthony used to drive when he was working for the railroad.

This was by far their favorite part.......being able to see up close what daddy gets to do everyday.  they loved pushing the buttons and watching the gate go up and down and watching the signal light change from red to green....

This is the kind of high rail that Uncle Anthony drove last when he worked for the railroad.  Zach thought it was so cool and said I wish our big red car had wheels like that so that we could go on the train tracks too!

And what train celebration would be complete without a kid sized train ride.  They loved it!
